ORER Note 3 (10/1915 to 9/1919)

No. 12628: 35 ft. 1 in. long, 8 ft. wide, 7 ft. 9 in. high
No. 12629: two compartments:
A end, 19 ft. 5 in. long, 7 ft. 11 in. wide, 5 ft. 10 in. high.

The diagram [see above] and data above are representative of only the 65 cars built in the 1900s and not the complete #12600-12798 series as listed in the ORERs.
As reefers, the last 29' WUF cars were listed in the ORERs in 1926. A number of them had been "debunkered" for canned milk service on mixed and/or freight trains beginning almost right after they were acquired in 1907.
[see Earl Tuson note below] ~~In 1937, some were outfitted for passenger milk service with new trucks, train lines, etc. and renumbered into the passenger car series. By 1941, they were all gone.~~
The reefers the the B&M owned were not equipped for stage or half-stage icing so they could not transfer loads which required re-icing en-route.
The 1910-1926 ORERs listed series as #12600-12799 as having all the same dimensions. The class card included data only from the series manufactured by Laconia Car Co. Therefore, while the #12600-12629 series built by the Lawrence shops and the #12630-12719 series built by Michigan Car Co. may have the same dimensions as those diagrammed, but will not have the same appliances. The #12735-12748 series built by the Concord shops in 1904 should have the same appliances as those diagrammed.
