Ends Do have the 6 "dimples" (at peak) of later ends
plus 4 round "dimples" (2 on each side)
The 2 end pieces were riveted together
Lower-Right grab on end Both ends: supported by straps between ribs
Sides 14 panel welded )panels next to door narrower than others)
Roof End panels had pressed-in "stiffeners"
End Ladders Right stile bumps out so bottom 2 rungs longer than the others

Models

Many models of PS-1s have been produced. Perhaps the best (HO) ones are the Kadee and Intermountain, both of which have produced B&M decorated cars, although I don't have details right now. Be careful (particularly) with the door sizes/types and the 6 indentations at the peak of the ends.
As Kadee releases the B&M cars in small batches, there may be others I don't show below

Atlas also produced "undec" O scale models from 2001-2017, all listed as sold out as of Dec, 2020.
Note Accurail has a "B&M" 50' car (stock # 5715, car #77265) that is (to my knowledge) NOT a particularly good model of a PS-1. Paint scheme also leaves something to be desired. Has short ladders, no running board, and low brake wheel

"Old HO" produced a series (12 numbers) of the Intermountain kits custom decorated for the B&M in 2000 - see B&MRRHS Modelers Notes #65 (Mar-Apr 2000)
