Also notes these cars are converted 77000 series cars, renumbered in 1967-1969- 10/1970 - note series 100-149 (Insulated box) were inserted above the 700 series cars.
The 700 series cars just used " ("ditto") from earlier years, and I believe this is just a "carry over" from previous editions (i.e. they forgot to fix the typography), and was corrected 10/1972.
The STB (and ICC earlier) has records about car leases. For this car series, the following are available (copied from The STB web site)
