- Pullman Standard 77000 series 50' PS-1 conversions
(see 77000 series listing for sources)- Freight Car Journal Vol 1 #3
Also notes these cars are converted 77000 series cars, renumbered 3/1978- Car #49 had experimental paint scheme
- As reconditioned
- blue sides, black door. ? ends. ? roof. "medium" sized intertwined "BM" herald (all white with black outline)
- Experimental (49 only)
- Same as above, but larger/different font for road initials and car number, "BOSTON AND MAINE" (3 lines) on right side of car (instead of intertwined BM)
One of very few known (to me) use of "and" (instead of "&") in spelling out road name (the other being the 5800 series Airslides)
Lettering supplied by 3-M (per Don Clerke inserts into B&MRRHS Bulletin)
